Abstract:
Parameters influencing the removal of SO2 from simulated flue gas by setting up a novel spray-and-scattered- bubble experimental table, such as liquid-gas ratio, immersion depth of bubbling pipes, inlet SO2 concentration,lime- stone slurry concentration and initial pH value, etc, were investigated in this study. Results show the SO2 removal effi- ciency in the novel spray-and-scattered-bubble tower is far higher than that in spray tower or jet bubbling reactor at the same conditions. The efficiency increases with rising liquid-gas ratio, rising immersion depth and rising limestone slurry concentration gradually, while it is nearly invariable with rising SO2 concentration. Meanwhile, the differences in energy consumption were analyzed between the novel spray-and-scattered-bubble tower and spray tower, especially on circu- lating pump, booster fan and oxidation fan. Taking a 300 MW unit for an example, the energy consumption of the spray- and-scattered-bubble tower accounts for almost half of that in a spray tower so that it can save 8. 8×103 t standard coal annually when only operating cost was considered.
