Multi-objective optimal design of a surface-mounted and interior permanent magnet synchronous motor

  • In terms of the characteristics of multi-objective and interactions among optimization objectives of surface- mounted and interior permanent magnet synchronous motor ( SIPMSM),Taguchi method is introduced to realize the multi-objective optimal design of SIPMSM. Cogging torque, electromagnetic torque ripple, ratio of between average torque and permanent magnet weight as well as product of between efficiency and power factor are chosen as optimiza- tion targets,and the optimization parameters and impact factor of SIPMSM which have obvious effect on optimization targets are determined. The orthogonal matrix for optimization parameters and optimization targets is established to ana- lyze the effect of parameters on target characteristics. Finally,optimization parameters combination making best com- prehensive performances is performed. Comparing the characteristics after and before optimization objectives,the re- sults show that the comprehensive performances of SIPMSM are greatly improved.
