Abstract
In order to improve the loading performance and working efficiency of thin seam shearer,it was investigated using the method of theoretical analysis and discrete element numerical simulation. The relationship of theoretical coal falling and theoretical loading quantity with traction speed,drum depth,roller speed,and helix angle were theoretically analyzed. The discrete element simulation model of shearer cutting unit and coal wall model were established based on PRO / E and EDEM. The complex process of broken coal rock cutting of shearer was simulated and the corresponding loading rate was obtained. The influence and significant extent of traction speed,roller speed,helix angle,and drum depth on shearer loading performance were analyzed based on the orthogonal test method. Based on the actual working conditions,the optimal design parameters of the new thin coal seam shearer were obtained,and the loading performance of shearer was improved greatly,which provides a new method for the research and optimization of shearer loading per- formance.
