Meso-feature of load spectrum and entropy model for cutting performance evaluation

Abstract
Aiming to research the feature and performance evaluation method of random load spectrum,this paper pres- ents three methods to describe the characteristics of the energy spectrum,including the gradient of the energy accumu- lation,the amplitude increment and the energy based on experimental transient load and meso-feature,and the meso- feature of random load spectrum are used to deduce the macro-cutting performance evaluation. In this paper,taking the mechanical process of cutting coal and rock as example,entropy theory is applied to analyze the correlation of random load spectrum,and the mathematical model of the feature entropy and the weighted entropy of the random load spec- trum are proposed to discuss the feature and effect of crushing load spectrum of coal and rock in the time domain. The results show that the load spectrum entropy is increased with the rotational speed increase at the same maximum cut- ting thickness,it reveals that the disorder degree of the load spectrum is also increased with the rotational speed in- crease,and illustrates the relative trend of coal-rock fragmentation and dust content,moreover,there is a positive corre- lation between the characteristic entropy and the weighted entropy of the load spectrum and the specific energy con- sumption and the degree of fragmentation. Hence,the proposed load spectrum entropy model and algorithm can be used as an effective method for the cutting performance evaluation.
