Abstract
The pulverized coal forming process can not only solve the problem of low utilization efficiency of coal and serious pollution, but also meet the raw material preparation requirements of certain industrial production. The preparation of hot-pressed briquette was carried out by using self-made hot-pressing equipment with Hypercoal (HPC) as binder and non-sticky lean coal as raw material. The effects of holding time, temperature and the amount of HPC on the compressive strength of hot-pressed briquette were investigated. It was found that HPC can significantly improve the compressive strength of briquette under hot-pressing conditions.Without the addition of HPC, the compressive strength of briquette was only 38-70 N/s.However, the compressive strength of briquette can reach 148-227 N/s when the amount of HPC was 10%.A briquette was finally prepared with the compressive strength of 436 N/s, when the amount of HPC was 15%, the hot-pressing temperature was 400 ℃, the holding time was 15 min, and the forming pressure was 30 MPa.Compared with the cold-pressed briquette with molasses as binder, the compressive strength of the hot-pressed briquette was similar. Therefore, it is entirely feasible to prepare the hot-pressed briquette with HPC as binder.
