Supporting performance and canopy adaptability of shield support

Abstract
To study the supporting performance of two-legged shield support and its canopy adaptability to the roof,the mechanical model of load equilibrium region under single region loading condition was constructed. This paper ana- lyzed the distribution characteristics of the canopy load equilibrium region during full-height range and studied its in- fluential factors. Subsequently,combined with the actual conditions of the supports,the paper analyzed the limit load e- quilibrium condition of canopy under double region loading condition,which further extended the theory of canopy e- quilibrium region. Finally,the multi-body dynamic model of a hydraulic support was constructed by using ADAMS,the single and double region loading conditions of the hydraulic support were simulated respectively. By comparing with the theory,it shows that improving the loading condition of the hydraulic support,optimizing the parameters of the e- quilibrium jack and the legs can improve the adaptability of the shield support effectively.
