Construction of green, low-carbon and multi-energy complementary system for abandoned mines under global carbon neutrality

  • Under the dual carbon strategic goal, the high-quality development of coal industry will usher in new opportunities and challenges, fully release the potential of negative carbon energy enhancement in abandoned mines and create collaborative development model by cooperating development and utilization of new energy sources such as wind, light, water and heat, so as to promote the stable development of green, circular and low-carbon energy system.Cope with the challenge of clean energy’s steady supply and net zero development of coal industry, put forward the green low-carbon multi-energy complementary system of abandoned mine and integrate production-storage-fixation smart new negative carbon green energy supply and storage system which consists of holographic geology structure reconstruction, multi-source integration, energy storage by combination of physical and chemical, carbon consolidation utilization, multi-network intelligent control, intelligent emergency rescue. With the surface and underground joint space as the carrier, multi-source data fusion digital twin technology as the support, intelligent risk identification and early warning and disaster emergency rescue as the guarantee, realize the multi-dimensional, classificational and regional linkage of clean energy production, storage, supply and carbon capture, storage and utilization in abandoned mining areas. The paper summarizes five key scientific issues and seven main research directions for the development of green, low-carbon and multi-energy complementary system of abandoned mines, which provides a new way to realize the steady supply of clean energy, permanent storage of carbon, and the cycling development of energy-carbon balance, and guarantee the national energy security and high-quality development of economic society.
