Networked intelligent sensing method for powered support

Abstract
In the intelligent fully mechanized mining face,the intelligent technology of the powered support plays a key role in ensuring the safety control of the roof and coal wall,the coordinated operation of the three fully mechanized mining machines and the circulating advancement of the mining face. Based on the technical status and the develop- ment trends of the intelligent mining,the coupling state between powered supports and the surrounding rocks,the pow- ered support operation precession,the cooperative control relationships between the scraper conveyor and powered sup- ports,the coupling relationships between the longwall face and sprag,and the requirements of intelligent technologies for the supports are analyzed. The corresponding sensing method and sensors layout of powered support are proposed. The main composition of the sensors and intelligent network is proposed based on the analysis of the sensing require- ments. The intelligent sensors can self-powered and transmit wirelessly. Zigbee is adopted as the communication proto- col and all the wireless signals are stored and proposed in the information receiver which is connected to the controller with RS485. Then,the proposed information transmits through the Industrial Ethernet between the supports. According to the above sensing information,combined with the mine pressure theory and the coupling mechanism,the state of roof,the law of mine pressure and the coupling characteristics of the powered support and surrounding rock in the in- coming pressure process can be obtained in real time. With a digital control network,the switch type closed-loop con- trol will be performed in the powered support movement. Thus,the information about the position,attitude,working re- sistance,load distribution and the hydraulic circuit can be sensed intelligently,providing necessary information sup- ports for the improvement of intelligent level such as the automatic adjustment of the coupling state between the pow- ered supports and the surrounding rocks,straightness control during the push-pull process,the adaptive control of fol- lowing the shearer,and the construction of the internet of things for fully mechanized mining equipment.
